Housekeeping and 5S
Good housekeeping is a safety control. Clutter hides hazards, narrows walkways, blocks emergency equipment, and increases the chance of slips, trips, fires, and struck-by events. A clean, organized area helps people see abnormal conditions quickly. Put tools away, remove waste, keep aisles clear, and correct hazards before leaving the area.
Discussion questions

- What control do we need to verify before work starts?
- What should be reported immediately?
